Albia is Chile’s leading provider of industrial laundry services with over 40% market share. Among its main clients are the country’s most important hotels, clinics, hospitals and mining companies. Currently, the Company operates 8 plants in Chile’s 6 main cities, processing more than 50 tons of clothes a day.
Backed by AXA Capital Chile, Albia is developing an important expansion plan which includes developing new related services and expanding the geographical reach of its operations, as well as incorporating and delivering greater value to new clients from the mining, transportation, casino and food industries.
In August 2007 Albia acquired Servicios Hospitalarios, reaching a strategic position in the private clinics sector in Santiago, Temuco and Puerto Montt. Continuing with its geographical expansion, in May 2008 Albia acquired Concepción’s leading provider of industrial services, and in March 2010 the Company started operating a new plant in Calama.
